YIJ is to be hosted by the Association of Science, Technology and Innovation (ASTI), an association of educators, scientists, industry representatives and individuals who are committed to advancing the role of the scientific community

The Young Inventors Journal (YIJ) is a scholarly publication that consist of full length original research papers, conference papers, short communications, review papers, and perspectives. YIJ is a free online research journal that is earmarked towards younger generation to increase their interest, get involved and immersed in learning in science, technology and innovation. Accordingly, our journal hopes to expose young generation to new ideas and inventions. We also like to introduce the young to the discipline of writing in a professional publication.

YIJ is to be hosted by the Association of Science, Technology and Innovation (ASTI), an association of educators, scientists, industry representatives and individuals who are committed to advancing the role of the scientific community in inspiring the youth of the nation to join and excel in the world of science. ASTI aims to revolutionize the teaching, and awareness of the vital role science, technology and innovation plays in fulfilling the economic, health and environmental requirements of the world’s population; mentoring and encouraging youth to seek new innovative methods and technologies that will enhance the understanding and learning of the sciences; and use Science, Technology and Innovation for the advancement of mankind and protection of the environment.

We maintain high standards for publication with the guidance from our dedicated experienced Scientific Advisory Board, consisting of professional researchers. Our publications would fall under four main categories: conference papers from National Level Science Fair for Young Children-NSFYC, project papers from Young Inventors Challenge-YIC (international competition), short communication from ASTI Leap Challenge-ALC, and open journal submission from the public. YIJ is for all viewers.

At YIJ, we’re looking to restore the excitement of science, technology and innovation; and to inspire the next generation of scientists. Therefore, we always welcome aspiring scientists to submit articles and to get involved with our publishing process. ASTI has already more than 300 papers to date from its past events such as NSFYC and YIC. YIJ would publish in any areas towards the development and protection of humanity and the environment. YIJ would first publish papers from its programmes, namely from NSFYC and YIC.
